Race For The Galaxy

OK Race for the Galaxy is my new favorite game! I realized last night that there are cool card combos. This adds a whole new layer to the game. The combos are probably listed somewhere online. Anyway I will pick up the dungeon add for Talisman this Monday.

The return of 4e

Well folks I have decided to try 4e one mo time before officially scrapping the edition. I would like to try to make it work as there are many benefits to playing the latest edition. New content for one. Then there is the promise of the dm tools and etc...

I have decided to spice it up by doing something that I have wanted to do for a very long time, create my own world. Over the next (as yet undetermined interval of time) I will put together all of the pieces of my world and when I am done we will start a new 4e party. I have a really great campaign idea.

I am going to interject some phil-point-oh into the 4e to make it more playable. I have a few minor tweaks that will fix some of the b.s. and simplify combat.

Pathfinder

There is not a significant difference in game mechanics from 3.5 to Pathfinder. The biggest difference is in the character classes. Basically pathfinder represents a similar evolution when the game went from 3.0 to 3.5. Pathfinder is basically 3.75. For right now they are close enough that they are interchangeable so if you don't want to buy pathfinder you can use 3.5 though I am switching entirely to pathfinder when the bestiary comes out next month. When we make the switch I will provide everyone a copy of the PDF version of the rules. After the switch you can still use your 3.5 characters if you wish though I think once you read the character classes you will want to switch. The pathfinder classes are really cool.

Board Game On

Yep it's board game night at the mitchell ranch. Mozey on over around 6:00 p.m. on Monday for some board game goodness. Make your mark if your plannin on commin.

Fish On

Folks we are gonna Night Surf Fish on pensacola beach. We have a condo in the Emerald Dolphin on the sound side. There is a public walkway about a hundred yards down the road. We will meet at 6:00 as usual at the condo and walk across to the beach. If anyone wants to we could eat at Peg Leg Petes. It is about a hundred yards in the other direction. You will need a fishing pole and whatever bait you want to use. If you want to bring a cooler or flashlight or whatever that is up to you. If you don't have a pole you can pick one up for 20$ - 40$ that will work just fine. Bring a portable chair if you have one.
