We are playing this Monday at 6:00 p.m. We are playing the Thayonestia party. Scott if you have a 3.0 or 3.5 character in the 17th to 20th level range feel free to play them. Otherwise you will need to either generate a 17th level character or let me know and I will make you one. This party is Evil (surprise surprise) and are based in Thay though they also have spent a great deal of time in Waterdeep.
The following is the prelude to the adventure. Please read carefully.
As usual you find yourselves following orders delivered by an acolyte of the Red Wizards. A youth barley into puberty in ill fitting red robes shakily handed you the rolled parchment sealed with the symbol of Kas.
Far below the level of the cobble stone streets of Thay in the bowels of the temple of the Fallen One an ancient wooden door opens to reveal a large chamber. The ornate geometric tiled floor glitters in the light of a magical globe roughly the size of a cantaloupe that hangs in a basked of thin silver chain suspended from the ceiling. The octagonal shaped chamber is home to eight tapestries, each one hung on a facet of the room. To those of you attuned to the arcane you feel a skein of magical tendrils trailing from each tapestry disappearing off in the ether of the web of magic that permeates all things. Transportation tapestries are ancient in the extreme. Few of them survive from the lost days of high magical arts, before the world was broken and reformed. The scenes depicted in the tapestries are quite varied so there is no mistaking the one you were instructed to enter. It depicts the interior of a tent. Rugs cover the floor and a small table is flanked by two folding chairs. A silver tray holding bread and cheese rests on the little table. One by one you lay your hand upon the tapestry. The octagonal room fades as you are transferred to the tent.
